\u201cWhile the ADC recognises the importance of representing Nigeria\u2019s interests internationally, spending $9 million on image management at a time when millions of Nigerians cannot afford food, fuel, or basic healthcare is a clear case of misplaced priorities and moral blindness.\u201d<\/p>\n
The party said it was unrealistic to believe that paid lobbying could erase what it described as mass killings and widespread insecurity in the country.<\/p>\n
\u201cNo amount of image laundering can wash away the blood of thousands of Nigerians killed under this administration\u2019s watch. Lobbying to impress foreign leaders cannot substitute for a coherent strategy to end the bloodbath,\u201d it added.<\/p>\n
The ADC also criticised the reported framing of the lobbying effort as a campaign to communicate Christian protection efforts, warning that it could deepen sectarian tensions.<\/p>\n
