According to reports, Nigeria was edged out 4\u20132 on penalties following an intense semi-final encounter at the Prince Moulay Abdellah Stadium in Rabat, Morocco.<\/p>\n
In a message shared on his X account on Thursday, the former Anambra State governor described the contest as a hard-fought battle, stressing that the players had every reason to remain proud.<\/p>\n
According to Obi, it was a battle well fought, and there was no cause for heads to be bowed.<\/p>\n
\u201cThank you for a beautiful 120 minutes of incredible play. You showed your strength and prowess against all odds.<\/p>\n
\u201cThe journey is not over. You have made the nation proud. Keep your heads high; the Eagle never stopped soaring.<\/p>\n
\u201cThere is another stage, let\u2019s go get that medal, you have done well,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n
