Otti Over Failure To Join ADC"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><\/p>\n<div id=\"mvp-content-main\">\n<p>The <a href=\"https:\/\/abiaradiostations.name.ng\/news\/abia\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Abia <\/a>State chapter of the Obidient Movement has denied a purported threat to withdraw its support for Governor <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/abiaradiostations.name.ng\/news\/Alex\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Alex <\/a>Otti<\/strong> in 2027 over failure to join the Labour Party (LP) 2023 presidential candidate, Peter Obi, in the African Democratic Congress (ADC).<\/p>\n<p><strong>Abia Radio News<\/strong> reports that the Obidient Movement, in a statement signed by the National\/South East Advisory Council member, Ebere Obiesie, <a href=\"https:\/\/abiaradiostations.name.ng\/news\/abia\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Abia <\/a>State Secretary, Elder Bethel Nwokoma, and Spokesperson, Chibuzor Obiesili, said its Wednesday press conference only condemned the <a href=\"https:\/\/abiaradiostations.name.ng\/news\/abia\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Abia <\/a>former Governors and their foot soldiers for ganging up against Otti, and did not at any time threaten to withdraw support from the Governor.<\/p>\n<p>While reaffirming its unwavering support for Otti, the Obidient Movement urged members of the public to disregard any twisted media report suggesting that the Movement had threatened to withdraw support for the Governor.<\/p>\n<p>The statement commended Otti for his developmental strides and pledged its continued support for his administration.<\/p>\n<p>The statement read in part,<i> \u201cThe Obidient Movement, <a href=\"https:\/\/abiaradiostations.name.ng\/news\/abia\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Abia <\/a>State Chapter, has noted with concern a series of misleading reports and allegations circulating on some media platforms, suggesting that the Movement has threatened to withdraw its support for His Excellency, Governor <a href=\"https:\/\/abiaradiostations.name.ng\/news\/Alex\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Alex <\/a>Otti, over his stance regarding the African Democratic Congress (ADC).<\/i><\/p>\n<p><i>\u201cWe wish to categorically state that any purported call on Governor <a href=\"https:\/\/abiaradiostations.name.ng\/news\/Alex\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Alex <\/a>Otti to defect to the ADC, as well as claims of an ultimatum or threat to withdraw support, do not represent the position of the Obidient Movement <a href=\"https:\/\/abiaradiostations.name.ng\/news\/abia\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Abia <\/a>State chapter. These assertions are false, baseless, and a gross misrepresentation of our collective stance.<\/i><\/p>\n<p><i>\u201cThe Obidient Movement <a href=\"https:\/\/abiaradiostations.name.ng\/news\/abia\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Abia <\/a>State chapter acknowledges the people-oriented efforts of the Governor and his administration in rebuilding and repositioning <a href=\"https:\/\/abiaradiostations.name.ng\/news\/abia\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Abia <\/a>State.<\/i><\/p>\n<p><i>\u201cThe Obidient Movement <a href=\"https:\/\/abiaradiostations.name.ng\/news\/abia\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Abia <\/a>State chapter also unequivocally condemns and distances itself from the apparent gang-up by three former Governors and their cronies, whose calculated actions are aimed at discrediting the administration of Governor <a href=\"https:\/\/abiaradiostations.name.ng\/news\/Alex\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Alex <\/a>Otti.<\/i><\/p>\n<p><i>\u201cWe view such coordinated attempts as self-serving, regressive, and inimical to the collective progress and ongoing transformation being recorded across <a href=\"https:\/\/abiaradiostations.name.ng\/news\/abia\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Abia <\/a>State.<\/i><\/p>\n<p><i>\u201cWe therefore reaffirm our unwavering support for Governor <a href=\"https:\/\/abiaradiostations.name.ng\/news\/Alex\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Alex <\/a>Otti and commend his administration for its commitment to good governance, transparency, and people-centered development, contrary to the misinformation being circulated across some media platforms.\u201d<\/i><\/p>\n<p><!-- CONTENT END 2 -->\n                                                                                                            <\/div>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The Abia State chapter of the Obidient Movement has denied a purported threat to withdraw its support for Governor Alex Otti in 2027 over failure to join the Labour Party (LP) 2023 presidential candidate, Peter Obi, in the African Democratic Congress (ADC).
