Nollywood actress Mercy Johnson<\/strong> has withdrawn the defamation case she filed against Nigerian TikToker Eedie Bliss.<\/p>\n Abia Radio News<\/strong> reports that the legal action followed a video posted by Bliss in December 2025, claiming that Mercy\u2019s husband, Prince Okojie, bought a house for a pregnant woman who was not his wife.<\/p>\n The video also accused Mercy of contributing to the loss of the pregnancy.<\/p>\n The TikToker was arrested and detained in Abuja after Okojie submitted a petition against her.<\/p>\n However, after appeals from the public on behalf of Bliss, Mercy decided to drop the charges and secure the blogger\u2019s release.<\/p>\n Mercy explained that the decision came from respect for her family and the many individuals who intervened.<\/p>\n She said, however, that she will continue pursuing other defamation cases, as she wants to protect her family from false claims.<\/p>\n The actress criticized blogs and social media accounts for spreading harmful stories, some of which, she claimed, are controlled by fellow actresses.<\/p>\n She said such reports have affected her children, who face bullying at school due to the online allegations.<\/p>\n Mercy added that going forward, anyone making claims about her or her family must provide evidence.<\/p>\n She insisted that her hands are clean and that she will not allow lies to affect her children or her reputation.<\/p>\n While the case against Eedie Bliss has been dropped, Mercy confirmed that other cases are still active.<\/p>\n She urged people to stop involving her and her husband in false stories and to allow her to focus on her life and family.<\/p>\n \n <\/div>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":" Nollywood actress Mercy Johnson has withdrawn the defamation case she filed against Nigerian TikToker Eedie Bliss.
