Leaders from the four clans in Ikwuano Local Government Area of Abia <\/a>State have declared that any attempt to steal their votes in favour of losing candidates in the 2027 elections will not be accepted.<\/p>\n The stakeholders from Oboro, Oloko, Ibere and Ariam, as well as local government workers, made the declaration at the Ikwuano LGA headquarters during a strategic meeting.<\/p>\n Led by the Chairman of Ikwuano LGA, Anthony Nwubani, the clan leaders said their votes must count in 2027 and must not be manipulated or diverted.<\/p>\n They also denounced a statement attributed to a group of former Abia <\/a>leaders claiming that Governor Alex <\/a>Otti would be a one-term governor, stressing that only the will of the people would prevail.<\/p>\n The stakeholders, who passed a vote of confidence in Governor Alex <\/a>Otti over infrastructural projects in their area, said it was wrong for members of the opposition to describe the governor as merely repainting existing projects.<\/p>\n \u201cOpposition is an ingredient of the political system, but it must be based on facts, not lies. It is incorrect to say that Governor Otti is only painting roads.<\/p>\n \u201cIkwuano people are angry with anyone peddling such a narrative. It is a slap in the face of Abians whose lives have been positively impacted by the governor,\u201d Nwubani said.<\/p>\n<\/p><\/div>\n
