Abia <\/a>State, Chimezie Princewill Okezie has raised the alarm that heaps of human faeces were discovered at the office of the Council\u2019s Chairman, Uwabunkeonye Bassey.<\/p>\nAccording to him, the human faeces were plastered at the block that houses the office of the Executive Chairman.<\/p>\n
Although the identity and intention of those behind the discovery were not yet\u00a0 known, Okezie described the scene as disturbing.<\/p>\n
He also alleged that it was an attack on the Chairman of Bende LGA, Uwabunkeonye Bassey by his political opponents, who according to him, failed to match his achievements.<\/p>\n
\u201cEarlier today\u00a0 (Wednesday) at the Bende Local Government Council Headquarters, specifically within the political block that houses the office of the Executive Chairman, a disturbing scene was met.<\/p>\n
\u201cHeaps of human faeces as we can see in this video were deliberately plastered at the entrances of the complex, an act clearly intended to provoke, insult, and desecrate a public institution.<\/p>\n
\u201cThis shameful display has gone beyond online propaganda and now reflects the height of desperation and pettiness by some opposition disgruntled elements who have failed to match the administration and governance of Mayor Uwabunkonye Bassey with ideas\u201d, Okezie said.<\/p>\n
He described the situation, not only as\u00a0 uncivilised, but an affront to the dignity of the council, its workers, and the entire people of Bende LGA, vowing that any one behind the faeces attack will face the consequences.<\/p>\n
\u201cThe general public is hereby assured that whoever or whichever people are responsible, regardless of affiliation, will face the appropriate consequences.<\/p>\n
\u201cActs like this cannot and will not be swept under the carpet\u201d, he vowed.<\/p>\n<\/p><\/div>\n
