{"id":239988,"date":"2026-01-22T06:49:42","date_gmt":"2026-01-22T06:49:42","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/abiaradiostations.com.ng\/news\/adc-chieftain-urges-obi-atiku-supporters-to-stop-attacking-each-other\/"},"modified":"2026-01-22T06:49:42","modified_gmt":"2026-01-22T06:49:42","slug":"adc-chieftain-urges-obi-atiku-supporters-to-stop-attacking-each-other","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/abiaradiostations.com.ng\/news\/adc-chieftain-urges-obi-atiku-supporters-to-stop-attacking-each-other\/","title":{"rendered":"ADC Chieftain Urges Obi, Atiku Supporters to Stop Attacking Each Other"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><\/p>\n<div>\n<p data-start=\"0\" data-end=\"192\">A member of the African Democratic Congress (ADC), Fabiyi Oladimeji, has said there is no justification for supporters of Peter Obi and Atiku Abubakar to engage in attacks against one another.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"194\" data-end=\"395\">Oladimeji made this known during an interview on Wednesday, where he stressed that both camps are pursuing the same objective.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"397\" data-end=\"609\">According to him, since Peter Obi joined the ADC, public discourse has shifted away from party and coalition unity to sustained attacks on Atiku Abubakar, who is also a key figure within the opposition coalition.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"611\" data-end=\"789\">\u201cNigeria is not governed by poetry but power. And power is not usually given to those who shout justice the loudest. It is secured by those who understand the dynamics,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"791\" data-end=\"923\">Oladimeji noted that the ADC is home to several influential political figures, describing them as \u201cprincipalities\u201d within the party.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"925\" data-end=\"1117\">\u201cWe have two principalities in the ADC. Atiku Abubakar is a principality in his own right, while Peter Obi is also one. We also have the likes of Nasir El-Rufai and Rotimi Amaechi,\u201d he stated.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"1119\" data-end=\"1267\">He added that the current political manoeuvrings are not unusual and urged Nigerians to remain calm, expressing confidence in the party\u2019s direction.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"1269\" data-end=\"1502\">\u201cWe have seen this before. None of these developments is new. What I want to tell Nigerians is to keep calm. Something is going to work out, and that thing is the vehicle that will carry everyone along, and that is the ADC,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"1504\" data-end=\"1611\">Oladimeji also commended the leadership of the party, describing ADC as being steered by experienced hands.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"1613\" data-end=\"1774\">\u201cToday, the ADC is being managed and driven by an experienced gentleman, David Mark. You cannot take that away from him, and the vision is very clear,\u201d he added.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"1776\" data-end=\"1910\">He acknowledged that political supporters are entitled to express their interests but insisted that internal hostility is unnecessary.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"1912\" data-end=\"2129\">\u201cThe supporters of Peter Obi and those of Atiku who are making noise have the right to do so because politics is about interest.
