{"id":240058,"date":"2026-01-22T18:11:51","date_gmt":"2026-01-22T18:11:51","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/abiaradiostations.com.ng\/news\/tinubu-an-existential-threat-must-not-get-second-term-ogbonnia\/"},"modified":"2026-01-22T18:11:51","modified_gmt":"2026-01-22T18:11:51","slug":"tinubu-an-existential-threat-must-not-get-second-term-ogbonnia","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/abiaradiostations.com.ng\/news\/tinubu-an-existential-threat-must-not-get-second-term-ogbonnia\/","title":{"rendered":"Tinubu An Existential Threat, Must Not Get Second Term \u2013 Ogbonnia"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><\/p>\n<div id=\"mvp-content-main\">\n<p>A former presidential aspirant of the All Progressives Congress and chieftain of the African Democratic Congress, <strong>SKC Ogbonnia<\/strong>, has described President Bola <a href=\"https:\/\/abiaradiostations.name.ng\/news\/tinubu\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Tinubu <\/a>as an existential threat to Nigeria, insisting that he must not be re-elected in 2027.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Abia Radio News<\/strong> reports that Ogbonnia spoke on Thursday in Ugbo, Awgu Local Government Area of Enugu State, shortly after formally registering as a member of the African Democratic Congress in his ward.<\/p>\n<p>The former APC presidential aspirant said his decision to join the ADC was driven by the need to provide Nigerians with a credible political platform to \u201crescue\u201d his ward, senatorial district, Enugu State and the country at large from what he described as the failures of the ruling APC.<\/p>\n<p><em>\u201cAfter looking around, going east, north, south, and west, I concluded that ADC is the way. So I\u2019ve come home to the ADC, and with ADC, we are going there to win, from Ward 9, Awgu, Greater Awgu, Enugu State, and at the centre,\u201d<\/em> Ogbonnia said.<\/p>\n<p>Ogbonnia stressed that his immediate focus is on building a strong and united opposition capable of producing credible candidates at all levels of government.<\/p>\n<p><em>\u201cThis is a global movement, and it\u2019s going to challenge those in the Lion Building. I have a very bad friend, and that is Tinubu, who must vacate the seat. It is going to be <a href=\"https:\/\/abiaradiostations.name.ng\/news\/tinubu\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Tinubu <\/a>against the masses of Nigeria,\u201d<\/em> he declared.<\/p>\n<p>The ADC stalwart was particularly critical of President Tinubu\u2019s leadership, describing it as one of the worst in Nigeria\u2019s history.<\/p>\n<p><em>\u201c<a href=\"https:\/\/abiaradiostations.name.ng\/news\/tinubu\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Tinubu <\/a>can be qualified as one of the worst presidents in the history of Nigeria, and his second term is an existential threat. Nigerians must not allow that to happen,\u201d<\/em> he said.<\/p>\n<p>He added that the ADC and other opposition forces must work together to prevent what he termed a national catastrophe.<\/p>\n<p><em>\u201cThat is why I am seeking a platform through a united opposition to win and save Nigerians from the present catastrophe,\u201d<\/em> Ogbonnia stated.<\/p>\n<p>Ogbonnia also pledged to help strengthen the ADC by ensuring that credible and formidable candidates emerge from his ward, local government, senatorial zone and beyond.<\/p>\n<p>According to him, building a strong party structure anchored on good governance remains key to challenging the ruling party and restoring hope to Nigerians.<\/p>\n<p><!-- CONTENT END 2 -->\n                                                                                                            <\/div>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>A former presidential aspirant of the All Progressives Congress and chieftain of the African Democratic Congress, SKC Ogbonnia, has described President Bola Tinubu as an existential threat to Nigeria, insisting that he must not be re-elected in 2027.
