The All Progressives Congress (APC) has commenced a nationwide electronic membership registration exercise, calling on party members and supporters across the country to participate in the ongoing process.<\/p>\n
The National Publicity Secretary of the APC, Felix Morka<\/strong>, made the call in a statement on Friday, January 22, inviting both old and new members to take part in the exercise currently taking place in Delta State, other states of the federation and the Federal Capital Territory.<\/p>\n According to the party, the e-registration exercise is being conducted across all wards nationwide, with existing members expected to validate their membership details, while new and intending members are encouraged to register and officially join the party.<\/p>\n Morka said the initiative was open to all eligible Nigerians who share the party\u2019s progressive ideals.<\/p>\n \u201cAll party stakeholders, supporters and members \u2013 old and new \u2013 are invited to participate in the ongoing APC Membership Electronic-Registration Exercise,<\/em>\u201d he said.<\/p>\n The APC spokesman disclosed that prospective registrants must be at least 18 years old and must possess a valid National Identification Number.<\/p>\n According to him, the requirements are aimed at ensuring the credibility and integrity of the party\u2019s membership database.<\/p>\n \u201cRegistrants must be 18 years or older and must possess a valid National Identification Number,\u201d<\/em> the statement read.<\/p>\n Morka explained that the electronic registration exercise was designed to digitise the party\u2019s membership register and strengthen internal party administration.<\/p>\n He noted that the initiative would improve record integrity, enhance access to membership data for planning and management decisions, and promote internal democracy within the party.<\/p>\n The exercise, he added, also reflects the APC\u2019s commitment to democratic innovation in Nigeria.<\/p>\n \u201cThe e-registration exercise is designed to digitise the party\u2019s membership register, ensure integrity of record, enhance efficient access to membership data for planning and management decisions, promote internal democracy, and strengthen the party\u2019s commitment to democratic innovation in Nigeria<\/em>,\u201d Morka said.<\/p>\n The APC urged Nigerians who identify with its ideology to seize the opportunity to register and become part of what it described as Nigeria\u2019s progressive family.<\/p>\n \u201cRegister now as a member of APC, and join Nigeria\u2019s Progressive Family,\u201d<\/em> the party spokesman added.<\/p>\n The party said further details on registration centres and procedures would be communicated through ward and state party structures nationwide.<\/p>\n \n <\/div>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":" The All Progressives Congress (APC) has commenced a nationwide electronic membership registration exercise, calling on party members and supporters across the country to participate in the ongoing process.
