{"id":240125,"date":"2026-01-23T13:46:39","date_gmt":"2026-01-23T13:46:39","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/abiaradiostations.com.ng\/news\/labour-party-women-reject-court-judgement-back-abure-led-faction\/"},"modified":"2026-01-23T13:46:39","modified_gmt":"2026-01-23T13:46:39","slug":"labour-party-women-reject-court-judgement-back-abure-led-faction","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/abiaradiostations.com.ng\/news\/labour-party-women-reject-court-judgement-back-abure-led-faction\/","title":{"rendered":"Labour Party women reject court judgement, back Abure-led faction"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><\/p>\n<div id=\"the-post\">\n<p><!-- .entry-header-outer \/--><\/p>\n<div class=\"featured-area\">\n<div class=\"featured-area-inner\">\n<figure class=\"single-featured-image\"><\/figure>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"entry-content entry clearfix\">\n<p data-start=\"70\" data-end=\"230\">Women leaders of the <span class=\"hover:entity-accent entity-underline inline cursor-pointer align-baseline\"><span class=\"whitespace-normal\">Labour Party (LP)<\/span><\/span> have rejected the recent judgment of the Federal High Court delivered against the Julius Abure-led faction.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"232\" data-end=\"393\">The national women leader, deputy national women leader (south-south) and state women leaders reached the decision at a virtual meeting held on January 22, 2026.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"395\" data-end=\"521\">The meeting, which was the first for the year, reviewed key developments affecting the party and outlined strategies for 2026.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"523\" data-end=\"680\">The women leaders said they extensively reviewed the judgment delivered on January 21, 2026, against the leadership of <span class=\"hover:entity-accent entity-underline inline cursor-pointer align-baseline\"><span class=\"whitespace-normal\">Julius Abure<\/span><\/span>.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"682\" data-end=\"777\">They unanimously resolved that the judgment contains fundamental errors and should be appealed.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"779\" data-end=\"925\">The leaders reaffirmed their \u201ctotal and unwavering support\u201d for the LPleadership under Abure and <span class=\"hover:entity-accent entity-underline inline cursor-pointer align-baseline\"><span class=\"whitespace-normal\">Umar Farouk Ibrahim<\/span><\/span>.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"927\" data-end=\"1012\">They also resolved to mobilise women across wards, local government areas and states.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"1014\" data-end=\"1137\">The women leaders urged female members of the party to remain steadfast, united and hopeful despite the current challenges.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"1139\" data-end=\"1265\">They assured the National Working Committee and National Executive Council of their continued loyalty to the party leadership.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"1267\" data-end=\"1366\">The women leaders said they are ready to demonstrate solidarity with the LP at all times.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"1368\" data-end=\"1511\">They called on party members to remain calm and focused, noting that the party has survived difficult moments in the past and emerged stronger.<\/p>\n<\/p><\/div>\n<p><!-- .entry-content \/--><\/p><\/div>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Women leaders of the Labour Party (LP) have rejected the recent judgment of the Federal High Court delivered against the Julius Abure-led faction.
