Six farmers were reportedly killed on Friday night in a fresh attack by suspected armed bandits in Unguwar Wawa community, Borgu Local Government Area of Niger State.<\/p>\n
The incident was disclosed on Saturday in a post on X by Bakatsine, a conflict and crisis journalist who reports on insecurity in Nigeria\u2019s northwest.<\/p>\n
According to the report, the attackers invaded the community at about 10:00 p.m. and opened fire on farmers working on their farmlands.<\/p>\n
The assailants reportedly fled the area after the attack, leaving residents in shock, fear, and mourning.<\/p>\n
The incident has further heightened concerns over the worsening security situation in the area, especially for rural farming communities that have increasingly become targets of violent attacks.<\/p>\n
