Barely 24 hours after he dumped the New Nigeria People\u2019s Party (NNPP), the governor of Kano State, Abba Yusuf has appointed a new political adviser to his cabinet.<\/span><\/p>\n Yusuf appointed Mustapha Buhari as his new political adviser while presenting motorcycles to his social media handlers and influencers in the state on Saturday, January 24.<\/span><\/p>\n Speaking at the event which took place at the Kano State Government House, Yusuf said Buhari\u2019s appointment is hinged on his long-standing support for his government and his years of experience.<\/span><\/p>\n \u201cThis appointment is in recognition of his commitment, loyalty, and strategic contributions to the success and stability of our administration,\u201d Yusuf said.<\/span><\/p>\n Also expressing confidence that the new appointee would use his experience to ensure the strengthening of government policies and engagement across the state, the governor said he has faith in Buhari.<\/span><\/p>\n \u201cI believe he will bring his wealth of experience to support our policies and deepen political understanding,\u201d Yusuf added.<\/span><\/p>\n Subsequently, he commended journalists and other media practitioners in Kano for their committment in the dissemination of the right information across the state.<\/span><\/p>\n According to the governor, the media practitioners are key partners for the promotion of government activities.<\/span><\/p>\n Recall that Buhari\u2019s appointment follows the sack of Sunusi Surajo Kwankwaso as the political adviser to the governors<\/span><\/p>\n Several political analysts believe that Surajo was relieved of his duty due to his strong support for Rabiu Kwankwaso, a former governor of Kano State who appears to have fallen out with Yusuf.<\/span><\/p>\n<\/p><\/div>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":" Barely 24 hours after he dumped the New Nigeria People\u2019s Party (NNPP), the governor of Kano State, Abba Yusuf has appointed a new political adviser to his cabinet.
