Former National Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Abdullahi Umar Ganduje,<\/strong> has arrived in Kano State to participate in the formal declaration of Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf\u2019<\/strong>s membership of the ruling APC.<\/p>\n

Ganduje\u2019s arrival comes amid heightened political activities in the state, as the party prepares to receive the Kano governor following his planned defection.<\/p>\n

Abia Radio News<\/strong> reports that the former Kano State governor returned to Nigeria from London, where he attended the graduation ceremony of his daughter, Fatima Ganduje, at King\u2019s College London.<\/p>\n

Fatima, who is married to Idris Ajimobi, son of the late former Governor of Oyo State, Abiola Ajimobi, graduated on Thursday with a Master\u2019s degree from the prestigious institution.<\/p>\n

Ganduje arrived in Abuja aboard a British Airways flight at about 5:30 am on Monday and is expected to proceed to Kano later in the day to commence a series of high-profile political engagements.<\/p>\n

According to a statement signed by his Chief of Staff, Comrade Muhammad Garba, Ganduje will participate in the APC\u2019s ongoing electronic registration of members, a programme he initiated during his tenure as the party\u2019s national chairman.<\/p>\n

The statement added that the former chairman would also play a key role in activities surrounding the planned reception of Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf into the APC.<\/p>\n

The planned declaration of Governor Yusuf\u2019s APC membership is expected to draw party leaders and supporters from across the state and beyond.<\/p>\n
