It is very unique,<\/em>\u201d Akande said.<\/p>\n<p><em>\u201cPolitics is not a dirty game; it is the people playing it that make it dirty.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n<div class=\"code-block code-block-4\" style=\"margin: 8px auto; text-align: center; display: block; clear: both;\">\n<div class=\"c-ad\">\n<p>Story continues below advertisement<\/p>\n<p><!-- \/18855965\/naijanews_body3 --><\/p><\/div>\n<\/div>\n<p>According to him, politics was divinely instituted, placing it alongside the home, government and the church, noting that unethical behaviour was not peculiar to political practice alone.<\/p>\n<p><em>\u201cThere is no profession in the world where you will not find dirty people,<\/em>\u201d he added.<\/p>\n<p>Addressing recent political developments in the state, Akande disclosed that Governor Ademola Adeleke emerged as the Accord Party\u2019s governorship candidate following the party\u2019s primary election held on December 10, 2025.<\/p>\n<div class=\"code-block code-block-5\" style=\"margin: 8px auto; text-align: center; display: block; clear: both;\">\n<div class=\"c-ad\">\n<p>Story continues below advertisement\n<\/p>\n<p><!-- \/18855965\/naijanews_body4 --><\/p><\/div>\n<\/div>\n<p>He said the party\u2019s position on the ballot paper and its internal unity had further strengthened its appeal to voters.<\/p>\n<p><em>\u201cAccord is number one on the ballot paper, which makes it easier for voters, especially in rural areas,<\/em>\u201d Akande explained.<\/p>\n<p>Describing Accord as a party with a clean track record, the chairman said its ideology was firmly rooted in welfarism and social justice.<\/p>\n<div class=\"code-block code-block-6\" style=\"margin: 8px auto; text-align: center; display: block; clear: both;\">\n<div class=\"c-ad\">\n<p>Story continues below advertisement\n<\/p>\n<p><!-- \/18855965\/naijanews_body5 --><\/p><\/div>\n<\/div>\n<p><em>\u201cOur vision is an egalitarian society where everybody becomes somebody. The governor\u2019s agenda aligns with this ideology,<\/em>\u201d he said.<\/p>\n<p>Akande added that the party had intensified public engagement to inform voters about Adeleke\u2019s candidature on the Accord platform.<\/p>\n<p>He noted that grassroots mobilisation committees had been established across towns, villages and farm settlements to deepen voter awareness and participation.<\/p>\n<div class=\"code-block code-block-7\" style=\"margin: 8px auto; text-align: center; display: block; clear: both;\">\n<div class=\"c-ad\">\n<p>Story continues below advertisement\n<\/p>\n<p><!-- \/18855965\/naijanews_body6 --><\/p><\/div>\n<\/div>\n<p><strong>Abia Radio News<\/strong> reports that the party chairman dismissed claims of internal crisis, insisting that reports of factions within Accord were unfounded.<\/p>\n<p><em>\u201cThere was no wrangling before the governor joined Accord.
