Biodun Ajayi.<\/p>\n<div class=\"code-block code-block-3\" style=\"margin: 8px auto; text-align: center; display: block; clear: both;\">\n<div class=\"c-ad\">\n<p>Story continues below advertisement\n<\/p>\n<p><!-- \/18855965\/naijanews_body2 --><\/p><\/div>\n<\/div>\n<p><span style=\"box-sizing: border-box; margin: 0px; padding: 0px;\"><em>\u201cI can confirm to you that Prof. Iyabo Obasanjo, on Tuesday at Ibogun Ward 11 of Ifo Local Government, completed her online registration as a member of our great party, the All Progressives Congress,\u201d<\/em> Ajayi said.<\/span><\/p>\n<p>A former House of Representatives member from the area, who spoke on condition of anonymity, also confirmed the registration, describing Ajayi\u2019s account as accurate.<\/p>\n<p>The APC\u2019s Director of Publicity, Mr Femi Nuberu, neither denied nor confirmed the registration. Nuberu emphasised that the ongoing membership registration is open to every Nigerian aged 18 and above.<\/p>\n<div class=\"code-block code-block-4\" style=\"margin: 8px auto; text-align: center; display: block; clear: both;\">\n<div class=\"c-ad\">\n<p>Story continues below advertisement<\/p>\n<p><!-- \/18855965\/naijanews_body3 --><\/p><\/div>\n<\/div>\n<p>The party\u2019s position suggests that Obasanjo\u2019s enrolment, if confirmed, fits within the broad sweep of the APC\u2019s renewed membership drive ahead of the 2027 general elections.<\/p>\n<p>Iyabo Obasanjo is an Associate Professor of Public Health at the University of Maryland, Baltimore. She has previously held political offices, including Commissioner for Health in Ogun State (2003\u20132007) and Senator representing Ogun Central (2007\u20132011).<\/p>\n<p>Her political profile has remained a subject of public interest, especially after campaign billboards bearing her name surfaced in Abeokuta late last year, stoking speculation about a possible return to active politics.<\/p>\n<div class=\"code-block code-block-5\" style=\"margin: 8px auto; text-align: center; display: block; clear: both;\">\n<div class=\"c-ad\">\n<p>Story continues below advertisement\n<\/p>\n<p><!-- \/18855965\/naijanews_body4 --><\/p><\/div>\n<\/div>\n<p>The billboards carried the message, <em>\u201cIn Ogun State, we know ourselves. They came together and said, \u2018This is who we like.\u2019 I told them to stop it, that I am living a good life.
