The Nasarawa State Governor, Abdullahi Sule<\/strong>, has clarified that the ongoing crisis within the Rivers State chapter of the All Progressives Congress (APC) is a party affair, and not the responsibility of the Progressive Governors\u2019 Forum (PGF).<\/p>\n

Abia Radio News<\/strong> reports that Sule stated this on Thursday during an appearance on Politics Today, a current affairs programme on Channels Television.<\/p>\n

Fielding questions on internal tensions in the APC, particularly in Rivers, where disputes involving party loyalists and factions aligned with the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, Nyesom Wike, continue to escalate, Governor Sule noted that party organs had been tasked with addressing the matter.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe have asked the party to go and study the situation [in Rivers] and brief us if they need anything from the Progressive Governors\u2019 Forum, because it\u2019s purely a party affair for another state,\u201d<\/em> Sule said.<\/p>\n

He revealed that the APC National Working Committee (NWC) had already deployed officials to assess the crisis.<\/p>\n

Sule further stated, \u201cMembers of the national working committee were there during the meeting, and they were asked to investigate what is happening there.<\/em><\/p>\n

\u201cIf they need our input anywhere, they can confirm. But it\u2019s not something for the Progressive Governors; it\u2019s a party affair.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n

Sule also addressed the wave of defections into the APC and how the party plans to manage the integration of new members without alienating long-standing loyalists.<\/p>\n

He said the APC\u2019s internal culture promotes inclusiveness, even amid ongoing realignments.<\/p>\n

\u201cNobody is excluded from participating in party activities. That\u2019s the tradition of our party,\u201d<\/em> Sule said, affirming the APC\u2019s commitment to unity despite growing internal friction in some state chapters.<\/p>\n
