The Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, Nyesom Wike<\/strong>, on Friday declared that politics has officially commenced, saying the timing was right for political mobilisation ahead of future elections.<\/p>\n

Abia Radio News reports Wike made the remark in Port Harcourt, the Rivers State capital, during the inauguration of Senatorial and Local Government Area coordinators of the Rivers State Renewed Hope Ambassadors.<\/p>\n

Addressing supporters at the event, the former Rivers State governor said the emergence of the Renewed Hope structure signalled the beginning of active political engagement in the state.<\/p>\n

Wike said, \u201cLet me thank our leaders here, the coordinators of the local government level, and the electoral districts, and to the state, to the national assembly, to the state assembly, to the elders council, for support, support is not by mouth.<\/em><\/p>\n

\u201cYou have shown commitment, you don\u2019t have your governor with you, yet you say you are supporting Mr President, and you will do everything humanly possible to return Mr President as special grace in 2027.<\/em><\/p>\n

\u201cWhat have you done? You have managed yourselves with the little resources you have had.<\/em><\/p>\n

\u201cYou have gone to contribute for Mr President to succeed. And I do know that wherever Mr President is today, he\u2019s watching your program to know those who are really committed to the New Hope Ambassadors.<\/em><\/p>\n

\u201cYou got the vehicles there. You don\u2019t need to see some Nigerian Naira. You don\u2019t need it. All you need is commitment and you have shown it. What you have done today, let me remind you, will bring a lot of envy, will bring a lot of hatred, don\u2019t mind her. You are committed and continue to support Mr. President.<\/em><\/p>\n
