Bayo Onanuga, the Special Adviser to the President on Information and Strategy has called for the immediate execution of vandals who steal bars and damage items on federal highways.<\/span><\/p>\n

Onanuga while reacting to a video post on X, showed vandals who were captured cutting off starter bars and shoulder rods at the reconstruction site of the Ibadan-Ilesa\/Ife federal highway.<\/span><\/p>\n

An X user Salanwu Omoiyaonipako had shared a video of an update on the ongoing road reconstruction project on the highway, eliciting reactions from many including Onanuga.<\/span><\/p>\n

According to Omoiyaonipako, the vandals continue at their craft despite the government\u2019s effort to deliver good roads to motorists and Nigerians at large.<\/span><\/p>\n

He wrote, \u201cUpdate on the reconstruction of the Ibadan-Ilesa\/Ife federal highway.\ud83d\udc94<\/span><\/p>\n

\u201cVandals are at it again! They\u2019re cutting and removing the starter bars\/Shoulder rods at the construction site.\ud83e\udd26\ud83c\udffb\u200d\u2642\ufe0f<\/span><\/p>\n

\u201cThis is pure wickedness. The Government is helping us to build good roads, but some Nigerians are vandalising them.\u00a0 <\/span>I\u2019m tired!\u201d Omoiyaonipako said.<\/span><\/p>\n

However, in his reaction, Onanuga described the vandals as unconscionable individuals and the worst set of citizens the nation has got.<\/span><\/p>\n

The presidential aide wrote in a quoted response, \u201cJust shoot these unconscionable vandals\/thieves at sight. They are the worst species of citizenships.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n

Asides, vandalising government property on the highways, vandals are also known for stealing and destroying other public property including oil pipelines, railway tracks and electricity cables and poles, thereby leading to disruption of services to the people and sometimes death.<\/span><\/p>\n<\/p><\/div>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
