A chieftain of the All Progressives Congress<\/strong> (APC), Bala Na\u2019Allah, has stated that the ruling party has the best intentions for Nigerians, unlike other political parties.<\/p>\n Abia Radio News<\/strong> reports that \u00a0Na\u2019Allah\u2019s remarks were made while speaking on the wave of defections by state governors into the APC.<\/p>\n Recall that the governors of Kano State, Abba Yusuf; Plateau State, Caleb Mutfwang and Taraba State, Agbu Kefas, officially defected into the APC after several other governors had dumped the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).<\/p>\n Na\u2019Allah, while fielding questions in an interview on Channels Television\u2019s \u2018Sunrise Daily\u2019, said that despite the defection, APC must work to seriously convince the people that whatever they are going through is reasonably necessary to position the country for a greater future.<\/p>\n According to him, the gale of defections into the ruling party does not determine its success in the forthcoming 2027 general elections.<\/p>\n He said, \u201cThe APC has to work to seriously convince the people that whatever they are going through is reasonably necessary for the purpose of positioning the country for a greater future.<\/i><\/p>\n \u201cI can conveniently say that no party was formed and came with the best intentions for Nigeria, better than the APC. That I can conveniently.<\/i><\/p>\n \u201cNow don\u2019t forget that the ruling party then was PDP, and when APC came, we were very few members who believe that the trajectory of PDP for the years that they have been ruling has not succeeded in at least giving Nigerians the comfort to say their country was in safe hands.<\/i><\/p>\n \u201cThis defections that we are talking about; a defection made by people who hold authority in their various states.
