Nollywood actress, Iyabo Ojo<\/strong>, has responded to the controversy surrounding a recent promotional video for the Federal Airports Authority of Nigeria (FAAN).<\/p>\n Naia News<\/strong> reports that the promotional video, which made the rounds online, captured Iyabo Ojo encouraging the public to utilise FAAN\u2019s protocol services, which she described as offering comfort, speed, and exclusivity for travellers navigating the airport.<\/p>\n However, the video sparked criticism on social media, with many netizens recalling how the movie star criticised the current administration, questioning how she could now feature in a campaign promoting a government-owned agency.<\/p>\n Others also accused Iyabo Ojo of hypocrisy and political inconsistency, especially due to her support for the Labour Party (LP) 2023 presidential candidate, Peter Obi.<\/p>\n Defending her decision to feature in the campaign video, the thespian clarified that promotional work was done entirely free of charge and was not political.<\/p>\n Iyabo Ojo explained that she was genuinely inspired by the tangible improvements at the airport, including upgraded facilities, a more efficient system, and newly constructed access roads.<\/p>\n According to the 48-year-old actress, she praises the good, not the government, adding that she will not fail to applaud the government when it improves.<\/p>\n She wrote, \u201cI\u2019m Nigerian. When I see progress, airports upgraded, roads rebuilt, systems improved etc, I shout it from the rooftops, if need be, not because I\u2019m paid, not because I\u2019m political, but because I feel it and I want good for my country.
