{"id":241564,"date":"2026-02-17T18:41:48","date_gmt":"2026-02-17T18:41:48","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/abiaradiostations.com.ng\/news\/bring-nnamdi-kanu-out-enugu-monarch-urges-tinubu\/"},"modified":"2026-02-17T18:41:48","modified_gmt":"2026-02-17T18:41:48","slug":"bring-nnamdi-kanu-out-enugu-monarch-urges-tinubu","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/abiaradiostations.com.ng\/news\/bring-nnamdi-kanu-out-enugu-monarch-urges-tinubu\/","title":{"rendered":"\u2018Bring Nnamdi Kanu Out,\u2019 Enugu Monarch Urges Tinubu"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><\/p>\n<div>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n<p><strong>The Ogbunechendo of Ezema Olo Kingdom in Enugu State, Igwe Lawrence Agubuzu, has appealed to President Bola <a href=\"https:\/\/abiaradiostations.name.ng\/news\/tinubu\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Tinubu <\/a>to facilitate the release of the convicted leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra, Nnamdi Kanu.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Agubuzu, who spoke at the National Traditional and Religious Leaders Summit On Health in Abuja on Tuesday, attended by President Tinubu, said he was pained that Kanu was behind bars.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cBut I must tell you, Mr. President, that personally, I don\u2019t feel very happy because you were not here in the morning. There were several speeches, and we listened carefully.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI listened to the opening address by His Imperial Majesty, and he was gingering all of us to work as a family, to work as a team, and to see Nigeria as one. This is good.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cBut when you look at it, this same Imperial Majesty is arranging to confer a very high honour on Sunday Igboho, who, in my own part of Nigeria and the South-East, we see as a counterpart of Nnamdi Kanu.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cAnd, my brother, fellow royal father, the Imperial Majesty does not seem to understand the pain in my heart when Nnamdi Kanu is in Sokoto,\u201d the monarch said to Tinubu\u2019s amusement and applause from participants in the hall.<\/p>\n<p>The traditional ruler also said that the IPOB leader could be sent back to Kenya or the United Kingdom if he (Kanu) is not wanted in Nigeria.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cSo, sir, the ball stops in your court. Bring this man out.
