The member representing Aba North\/Aba South Federal constituency in the House of Representatives, Mascot Ikwechegh has officially defected to the Labour Party, four days after he resigned from the All Progressive Grand Alliance, APGA<\/p>\n
Ikwechegh, who resigned from APGA last week with several APGA executives in Aba, confirmed to journalists on Tuesday that he is now a member of the LP.<\/p>\n
Shortly after declaring for the Labour Party, the lawmaker met with the Abia <\/a>State Governor, Alex <\/a>Otti.<\/p>\n While the details of the closed-door meeting he held with the Governor were not immediately disclosed, political analysts believe the development has strengthened the Labour Party\u2019s structure in Aba and across Abia <\/a>State.<\/p>\n Recall that the Chairman of APGA in Abia <\/a>State, Sunday Onukwubiri had told DAILY POST weekend that the APGA office in Umuahia was not communicated about Ikwechegh\u2019s resignation.<\/p>\n He further said that his party would remain united, peaceful and stronger despite the exit of any individual.<\/p>\n <\/p>\n<\/p><\/div>\n
