Nigerian music legend, Innocent Idibia, popularly known as 2Baba<\/strong>, has dismissed fears that the Afrobeats genre might be heading to relegation on the global stage.<\/p>\n Abia Radio News<\/strong> reports that 2Baba, in a recent interview with Yaw on Wazobia FM Lagos, expressed confidence in the future of Afrobeats.<\/p>\n According to the African Queen crooner, contrary to some negative predictions, Afrobeats can never die on the global stage.<\/p>\n 2Baba argued that the country\u2019s endless pool of young talent ensures continuity, noting that young artists are the lifeblood of Afrobeats.<\/p>\n He said, \u201cAfrobeats can never die. If you listen to some of the young Afrobeats artists now, you will agree with me that the genre is in safe hands.<\/em><\/p>\n \u201cRecently, one of the young artists, Fola, remade my song \u2018If Love Is A Crime.\u2019 I really loved it. Soft, smooth vocals. It is amazing. The present crops of artists have special flows.
