Abia <\/a>State government has alleged that some opposition politicians in the state are planning to bring in miscreants from neighboring states to stage a violent protest tagged \u2018Tinubu <\/a>Dey Work, Otti Dey Chop\u2019.<\/p>\n According to the state government, sponsors of the planned protest intend to incite a bloody clash between the protesters and security agents.<\/p>\n The alarm was raised by the Special Adviser to Governor Alex <\/a>Otti on Media and Publicity, Ferdinand Ekeoma, on Friday.<\/p>\n He accused the opposition of plotting to create an atmosphere that could lead to breakdown of law and order, with a view of making the state ungovernable ahead of the 2027 elections.<\/p>\n \u201cIntelligence available to Abia <\/a>State government has confirmed plans by some political actors in Abia <\/a>to sponsor some miscreants from Aba and neighboring states to embark on a protest tagged \u2018Tinubu <\/a>Dey Work, Otti Dey Chop\u2019.<\/p>\n \u201cIt is important to remind those involved in this plot that the Abia <\/a>State government has the will and the capacity to ensure that they pay a heavy price beyond their imagination,\u201d Ekeoma stated.<\/p>\n But in a swift reaction, the Abia <\/a>State chapter of the All Progressives Congress, APC, said it is not aware, or involved in any planned protest.<\/p>\n The party which spoke through its Publicity Secretary, Uche Aguoru, said that APC is a responsible and law-abiding party that does not engage in actions capable of undermining the security and well-being of citizens.<\/p>\n \u201cIt is not far-fetched to consider that the present alarm raised by the Abia <\/a>State government may itself be part of a staged narrative designed to manufacture a crisis, shift blame to the opposition and ultimately distract from legitimate public scrutiny over governance issues,\u201d the APC publicity secretary said.<\/p>\n<\/p><\/div>\n
