President Bola Tinubu <\/a>has declared that no amount of pressure or intimidation will force him to abandon his administration\u2019s reform agenda.<\/p>\n

Tinubu <\/a>made the comment on Thursday at the state house in Abuja during a meeting with coordinators of the Renewed Hope Ambassadors (RHA).<\/p>\n

He said: \u201cThey want to scare me off? It\u2019s a lie. I\u2019ve been through this path before, and if I have to come back over and over and over again, I\u2019ll do the same thing. There is no better place than your own country, and no one can build it except you.\u201d<\/p>\n

Tinubu <\/a>said he would not give up despite the challenges facing his administration, saying: \u201cDuring the primaries that got me here, it was tough.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cDuring the election, it was tough. Now that I\u2019m here, all I can promise is that I won\u2019t give up,\u201d he stated.<\/p>\n

He assured members of the RHA of his resolve to stay the course till the 2027 general elections when he would seek re-election.<\/p>\n

\u201cWhatever you say I do, but one thing that you need from me is a promise that I won\u2019t run away from this fight.\u00a0With you, the deal is done,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n

Tinubu <\/a>also addressed criticism of his policies, describing them as necessary corrections.<\/p>\n

His words: \u201cI didn\u2019t have to look back, because the truth is, I took over from myself. The late Buhari is me. He was a partner.<\/p>\n

\u201cIf I took over from him, is that not from myself? So if something is wrong, fine, live with it, correct it, move on.\u201d<\/p>\n

He urged Nigerians to respect the rule of law and the judiciary, saying:\u00a0\u201cWe cannot submit to disobedience of a lawful order of a court.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe must embrace the judiciary, whether it favours us or not. We submit to this principle of democracy, separation of powers and the understanding of its dynamics, and the nationhood that Nigeria is. We must build one country.\u201d<\/p>\n
