Chairman of All Progressives Congress (APC) in Ebonyi State, Chief Stanley Okoro Emegha has advised registered members of the party seeking elective positions in the state to obtain the Governor\u2019s permission before purchasing nomination forms.<\/p>\n
Chief Emegha gave the advice on Monday in Afikpo during the inauguration of Ebonyi South Senatorial zone chapter of Grassroots Advocacy For President Bola Ahmed Tinubu <\/a>And Governor Francis Ogbonna Nwifuru (GATFON).<\/p>\n He stated that any aspirant who purchases nomination forms without the Governor\u2019s directive will be wasting his effort and resources.<\/p>\n Emegha who described Governor Nwifuru as a fair-minded leader, disclosed that he (the Governor) was committed to ensuring justice and fairness in all constituencies of the state.<\/p>\n He therefore enjoined aspirants not to be carried away by social media hype and sponsored endorsements, stressing that the Governor and the party would ensure that the right thing is done when the time comes.<\/p>\n \u201cLet me use this opportunity to advise all of us, especially those seeking elective positions, to seek the Governor\u2019s counsel before going to purchase nomination forms. Because anything outside the Governor\u2019s directive is a waste of resources.<\/p>\n \u201cI feel i should give you this advice because very soon APC will start selling forms. Don\u2019t buy any form without the Governor\u2019s directive. Any money you pay to party is non- refundable. I don\u2019t want anyone to come to me saying, please help me to recover my money. I advise you to wait for the Governor\u2019s directive. He knows all of us, and he is committed to ensuring justice in all the constituencies\u201d he said.<\/p>\n Chief Emegha commended GATFON for their resilience and commitment in promoting good governance, noting that President Bola Ahmed Tinubu <\/a>and Governor Francis Ogbonna Nwifuru have done well for the people of the state and deserve to be re-elected for second terms in office.<\/p>\n He pledged to continue to support the group to actualize their objectives.<\/p>\n Earlier, the Ebonyi State Coordinator of the GATFON, Barr. Patrick Anayo Mbam, in his remarks said the association was formed to promote the policies and achievements of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu <\/a>and Governor Francis Ogbonna Nwifuru, and to mobilise the grassroot towards their re-election come 2027.<\/p>\n He charged the local government coordinators in the zone to take the re-election message of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu <\/a>and Governor Francis Nwifuru to all the wards in the zone.<\/p>\n
