Nollywood actor Uzor Arukwe has disclosed that his father does not believe he is an actor.<\/p>\n
Speaking in an interview on WithChude with host Chude Jideonwo, the thespian stated that his father is unwilling to accept his career in acting.<\/p>\n
According to the actor, his father has heard about his achievements in Nollywood but has refused to believe or acknowledge them.<\/p>\n
Speaking on his family\u2019s reaction to his decision to pursue a career in the film industry, Arukwe stated that his mother was initially hesitant to support his chosen path because of her husband\u2019s position, but she later warmed to it and accepted his career.<\/p>\n
\u201cMy father doesn\u2019t know that I\u2019m an actor; he has heard, but he doesn\u2019t want to believe.<\/em><\/p>\n \u201cMy mum was slow to adapt because of her husband, but she later came around,\u201d<\/em> he said.<\/p>\n Meanwhile, Arukwe\u00a0has responded to the allegation of impregnating his colleague, Bamike Olawunmi, better known as Bambam, and being responsible for the crisis in her marriage with her husband, Teddy A.<\/p>\n Abia Radio News<\/strong> reports that the controversy, which gained traction on social media, stemmed from Arukwe\u2019s collaboration with Bambam in the 2025 YouTube film Love In Every Word, which went viral shortly after its release.<\/p>\n Amid the controversy online, a \ud835\udd4f user wrote, \u201cPopular movie actress BamBam (achalugo) has been reportedly divorced by her husband after finding out his wife was pregnant for her colleague who played the role of her odogwu in their recent movie, he got to find out through her leaked private chat with him. Hmmm it\u2019s sad to say women are never to be trust worthy.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n However, in a statement, Arukwe warned that those behind the rumours would face consequences, revealing that he had already identified a particular social media account.<\/p>\n Clearly angered by the allegations, Uzor Arukwe vowed to make the identified individuals spreading the rumours and baseless accusations a scapegoat so that others can learn to respect boundaries.<\/p>\n He wrote, \u201cA specific account has been identified to spread false rumors and baseless accusations about me and my professional engagement with another colleague in the industry.
