Now he\u2019s the only one who can say the reason why he left. And I\u2019m happy that he said he didn\u2019t leave because of Atiku Abubakar or David Mark, but because he said he was uncomfortable with certain things.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n<p>Meanwhile, Abuja Coordinator of the Obi-Kwankwaso Movement,\u00a0<strong>Jabir Ibrahim Yaro<\/strong>, has explained why <strong>Peter Obi<\/strong>\u00a0and former Kano State Governor,\u00a0<strong>Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso<\/strong>, left the ADC.<\/p>\n<p>Yaro, in an interview with\u00a0<a rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/dailypost.ng\/2026\/05\/05\/obi-kwankwaso-left-adc-over-judicial-trap-alleged-gifts-to-judges-yaro\/\">Daily Post<\/a>, linked their exit to internal crises in the ADC, alleged external interference and strategic political calculations ahead of the 2027 general elections.<\/p>\n<p>Yaro said opposition parties in Nigeria were facing serious challenges under the current administration.<\/p>\n<p>He said,\u00a0<em>\u201cFirst of all, as you know, in Nigeria, opposition parties are actually in trouble or in danger because of the current administration, because there is no single opposition party, as it is now, that is clean and without any internal crisis.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n<p>He alleged that powerful forces were behind the crises rocking opposition parties, including the ADC.<\/p>\n<p><!-- CONTENT END 1 -->\n                                                                                                            <\/div>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Deputy Financial Secretary of the African Democratic Congress (ADC), Oladimeji Fabiyi, has slammed the 2023 presidential candidate of the Labour Party (LP), Peter Obi, following his defection to the Nigerian Democratic Congress (NDC).
