Rivers State Governor, Siminalayi Fubara<\/strong>, has been cleared by the All Progressives Congress (APC) to contest the party\u2019s governorship primary scheduled for May 21.<\/p>\n Abia Radio News<\/strong> reports that Fubara was screened and cleared by the APC screening committee at the Plateau Governors\u2019 Lodge in Abuja on Saturday.<\/p>\n He was among 17 serving governors whose credentials were verified and assessed by the committee ahead of the party\u2019s primaries.<\/p>\n The development came days after the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, Nyesom Wike<\/strong>, said he had not endorsed any candidate for the 2027 Rivers governorship election.<\/p>\n Wike, during his monthly media parley in Abuja on Wednesday, said any endorsement would come only after a meeting of the state-level joint coalition.<\/p>\n He said, \u201cI haven\u2019t endorsed anybody.
