Adimoha<\/p>\n<p>ABIA \u2013 The Commissioner for Information Prince Okey Kanu says that the <a href=\"https:\/\/abiaradiostations.name.ng\/news\/abia\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Abia <\/a>state Environmental Protection Agency (ASEPA) has commenced full enforcement of the use of waste bins in all commercial vehicles across the state to promote cleanliness and proper waste disposal habits among passengers.<\/p>\n<p>Prince Kanu who announced this while briefing journalists on the outcome of this week\u2019s executive council meeting presided over by Governor <a href=\"https:\/\/abiaradiostations.name.ng\/news\/Alex\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Alex <\/a>Otti noted that the agency\u2019s consistent efforts has contributed significantly to Abia\u2019s growing reputation as one of the cleanest states in Nigeria.<\/p>\n<p>Prince Kanu said that in line with the road infrastructure efforts of the present administration, out of 29 roads under contract, 3 has recently been completed and would be commissioned soon, naming the roads to include the 2.213 km Umuogo-Nsukwe ring, 5.95 kilometres Dualization of Onuimo Bridge &#8211;<a href=\"https:\/\/abiaradiostations.name.ng\/news\/abia\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Abia <\/a>Tower Road and 11.5 kilometres Expansion\/Reconstruction of Nunya-Eluama Road.<\/p>\n<p>He disclosed that while, out of 51 roads under Direct Labour, 5 roads have been recently completed, listing the completed Direct Labour works to include maintenance of 600 metres failed sections of Osisioma Flyover , maintenance of 5.2 kilometre failed sections of Port Harcourt -Enugu Expressway to Ugwunagbo LGA Secretariat, maintenance and asphalt overlay of 2.7 kilometre Adaelu road from Osisioma Junction to Mopol Base Aba, Construction of 1.03 kilometre Oberete-Umuopara Road, Obingwa LGA and construction of 2.66 kilometres Geometric Power to Guineas Junction, Aba.<\/p>\n<p><img Governor <a href=\"https:\/\/abiaradiostations.name.ng\/news\/Alex\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Alex <\/a>Otti recently paid a courtesy visit to the new World Bank Country Director for Nigeria, Mr. Matthews Verghis, in Abuja, as part of efforts to strengthen existing partnerships between the state government and the World Bank.<\/p>\n<p>He said the visit provided an opportunity for both parties to review ongoing collaborative programmes, while also exploring new areas of partnership capable of accelerating development in the state.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" Poverty Alleviation and Social Protection, Mrs Ngozi Felix noted that the EXCO appreciated the courtesy visit of the Governor to the Country Director of the World Bank and affirmed that conversations would continue with the World Bank to ensure <a href=\"https:\/\/abiaradiostations.name.ng\/news\/abia\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Abia <\/a>continues to benefit from its programmes .<\/p>\n<p>She named sectors of continuous partnership with the world Bank to include Energy, education, agriculture,ICT among others, noting that the areas align with the vision of the
