The family of popular Nigerian actor Alexx Ikenna Ekubo-Okwaraeke has announced his passing, confirming that the award-winning star died at the age of 40 following complications from advanced metastatic kidney cancer.<\/span><\/p>\n

The late actor\u2019s family in an official statement released on Wednesday, May 13, 2026, conveyed the passing of their \u201cbeloved Husband, Son, Brother, and Friend\u201d with profound sadness. <\/span><\/p>\n

The statement said the late actor popularly known as Alex <\/a>Ekubo, passed away at Evercare Hospital in Lagos after a \u201cbrief but courageous battle\u201d with the disease.<\/span><\/p>\n
