{"id":242995,"date":"2026-05-13T18:38:33","date_gmt":"2026-05-13T18:38:33","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/abiaradiostations.com.ng\/news\/abia-police-nipr-strengthen-partnership-against-corruption\/"},"modified":"2026-05-13T18:38:33","modified_gmt":"2026-05-13T18:38:33","slug":"abia-police-nipr-strengthen-partnership-against-corruption","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/abiaradiostations.com.ng\/news\/abia-police-nipr-strengthen-partnership-against-corruption\/","title":{"rendered":"Abia Police, NIPR Strengthen Partnership Against Corruption"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><\/p>\n<div>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/abiaradiostations.name.ng\/news\/abia\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Abia <\/a>State Police Command has reaffirmed its commitment to strengthening collaboration with professional bodies as part of efforts to promote transparency, professionalism, and public trust in policing.<\/p>\n<p>The Commissioner of Police, CP Danladi Isa, stated this during a courtesy visit by the Executive Council of the Nigerian Institute of Public Relations (NIPR), <a href=\"https:\/\/abiaradiostations.name.ng\/news\/abia\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Abia <\/a>State Chapter, led by its Chairman, Onyinye Ralph-Nwachukwu, fnipr.<\/p>\n<p><\/p>\n<p>CP Isa described partnership with credible professional institutions as essential to modern policing, emphasizing that effective communication remains vital in building public confidence and enhancing security.<\/p>\n<p>He assured the delegation that the Command would continue to support engagements aimed at improving police-community relations and strengthening public trust.<\/p>\n<p>The Police Commissioner also reiterated his administration\u2019s zero tolerance for corruption and misconduct within the Command, warning that any officer found guilty of unethical conduct would face strict disciplinary measures and possible prosecution.<\/p>\n<p>According to him, accountability and discipline remain non-negotiable in the operations of the <a href=\"https:\/\/abiaradiostations.name.ng\/news\/abia\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Abia <\/a>State Police Command.<\/p>\n<p>Earlier, the Chairman of NIPR, <a href=\"https:\/\/abiaradiostations.name.ng\/news\/abia\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Abia <\/a>State Chapter, Onyinye Ralph-Nwachukwu, commended CP Isa for his calm leadership style, professionalism, and open-door policy.<\/p>\n<p>She noted that the Command under his leadership has continued to build public confidence through improved security coordination and sustained stakeholder engagement, describing the collaboration between the Police and NIPR as timely and strategic.<\/p>\n<p>Ralph-Nwachukwu also praised the Police Public Relations Officer, Maureen Chinaka, for her professionalism, clarity, and composure in communicating the activities of the Command, urging her to sustain the standard.<\/p>\n<p>In a vote of thanks, Sir O.J. Bob Amanze appreciated the Commissioner of Police for the warm reception and renewed commitment to collaboration.<\/p>\n<p>Members of the NIPR delegation included the Vice Chairman, Oluchi Ikechukwu; Secretary, Ori Innocent Onuoha; Assistant Secretary\/ICT Officer, Victor Onwuka; Treasurer, Onyinyechi Obi; Financial Secretary, Grace Gbagi; Public Relations Officer, Promise Uzoma Okoro; Internal Auditor, Cletus Nwankwo; Welfare Officer, Amaka Unamba; and Ex-Officio member, O.J.
