Nollywood actor,<\/strong> Lanre Adediwura, has recounted leaving MultiChoice\u2019s television series \u2018Wura\u2019\u00a0financially unstable and was only rescued by YouTube productions.<\/p>\n Abia Radio News<\/strong> reports that Lanre made this known during an interview on TVC Entertainment, explaining why he declined an offer to reprise his role on the show.<\/p>\n The thespian revealed that the series did not benefit him financially, noting that the production prevented him from securing other movie roles that could have advanced his career.<\/p>\n He said, \u201cI came out of \u2018Wura\u2019, and I was spending more than I made. I came out poorer. For six months after \u2018Wura\u2019, I could have practically gone to a neighbour for Garri. It was YouTube that got me the stability.<\/em><\/p>\n \u201cThe role gave me everything I wanted, yes, maybe the production itself did not give me what I wanted because everything promised was not fulfilled. This is the first time anyone has heard this from me.<\/em><\/p>\n \u201cThe role deprived me of other things I could have done. When I was negotiating, they told me I should not worry about going to other productions. Throughout the 11 months of shooting, I could not go out for any production.<\/em><\/p>\n \u201cThe worst of them is \u2018House of Gaa\u2019. BAP reached out and I did the translation for House of Gaa from English to Yor\u00f9b\u00e1. I was supposed to play Al\u00e1\u00e0fin Abiodun.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n Lanre argued that his public outburst would not lead to any legal trouble, claiming he contributed original nuances to the show that remain in use.<\/p>\n He added, \u201cThere can be no issues.
