According to the union, the settlement of the outstanding obligations has brought relief to local government workers across the state.<\/p>\n<p class=\"isSelectedEnd\">The union said the payment had restored confidence in government and boosted the morale of workers who had waited for the arrears to be cleared.<\/p>\n<p class=\"isSelectedEnd\">NULGE added that the intervention demonstrated the administration\u2019s understanding of the challenges faced by local government employees and its commitment to improving their welfare and productivity.<\/p>\n<p class=\"isSelectedEnd\">The union said the successful payment had further strengthened workers\u2019 confidence in the leadership of the governor and other stakeholders involved in the process.<\/p>\n<p class=\"isSelectedEnd\">NULGE pledged the continued support and loyalty of local government workers to the implementation of the ARISE Agenda.<\/p>\n<p class=\"isSelectedEnd\">The union also assured the state government of its commitment to efficient service delivery at the grassroots.<\/p>\n<p class=\"isSelectedEnd\">According to the statement, the clearance of the outstanding obligations marks another milestone in efforts to strengthen the local government system and improve service delivery across the state.<\/p>\n<p>The union added that local government workers had expressed renewed confidence in the current administration following the payment of the arrears.<\/p>\n<\/p><\/div>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The Akwa Ibom chapter of the Nigeria Union of Local Government Employees (NULGE) has commended Governor Umo Eno for the payment of outstanding arrears owed to local government workers.
