Abia <\/a>State G\u2060overnme\u200cnt has faced criticisms after flood wreaked havoc in Owerinta, Isiala Ngwa South local government area.<\/p>\n The flooding happened along\u2060 an ongoing Ow\u200cerrin\u200dta Road reconstruction project being executed by the Abia <\/a>State government.<\/p>\n However, speaking on the incident on\u00a0Sunday\u00a0morning, the State\u2019s Commissioner for Information, Okey Kanu, said that the situation was recieving the State government\u2019s attention, assuring that the situation would be adequately addressed.<\/p>\n Kanu reacted to a trending social media post attributing the flood to alleged shoddy job executed by the State government\u2019s contractor.<\/p>\n He said that prelimi\u200cna\u2060ry observ\u2060ati\u200dons indicated that the aff\u2060ected location has a long-standing top\u200dogr\u2060ap\u200dhica\u200cl challenge arising from its sloppy natural terrain.<\/p>\n
