VIDEO: Agidigbo FM Founder, Oriyomi Hamzat Joins Oyo Governorship Race

A popular Oyo State-based media personality and founder of Agidigbo FM, Oriyomi Hamzat, has formally declared his intention to contest the 2027 governorship election in the state on the platform of the Accord Party.

Abia Radio News reports that Hamzat made the announcement on Saturday at the Obafemi Awolowo Stadium (Liberty Stadium) in Ibadan, where he openly stated that he would no longer campaign or mobilise support for any other political aspirant ahead of the 2027 polls.

Speaking to supporters at the event, the broadcaster turned politician said his decision marked a turning point in his political journey, stressing that he was now focused solely on pursuing his own ambition.

“I am publicly declaring today that in 2027, I will not campaign for anyone or mobilise crowds for anyone,” Hamzat said.

He added, “I will contest in the gubernatorial election under the Accord Party.”
