‘Sorry, We Have Disappointed You Repeatedly’ – Oyegun Apologizes To Nigerians
Chairman of the Policy Manifesto Committee of the African Democratic Congress (ADC), John Odigie-Oyegun, has apologised to Nigerians over past leadership failure.
Abia Radio News reports that Oyegun, while fielding questions in an interview on Arise Television’s ‘Prime Time’ programme on Friday, said it will not be business as usual in ADC, stressing that everyone wants change.
The former National Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC) further stated that every stratum of society is making a major sacrifice within the ADC.
According to Oyegun, the 2027 general elections will be between the people and their oppressors, comprising many governors and others.
He said, “This time, we have a big message, a totally different message to coin. We have to start with the apology.
“Sorry, we have disappointed you repeatedly. It’s not as if it’s just the last goal. With the wave of defections into the APC, we are praying, as a matter of fact, we will bring out brass bands if the rest also join the APC.
“So the struggle for the future becomes very clear, designing the kind of campaign that is going to come in the future, that is the people versus their oppressors, made up of so many governors and others.”
