Anyaso Pays Emotional Father’s Day Tribute to Late Alexx Ekubo

Businessman and philanthropist, Dr. Chimaobi Desmond Anyaso, has paid a heartfelt tribute to the late Nollywood actor and media personality, Alexx Ikenna Ekubo-Okwaraeke, popularly known as Chief Ikuku, describing him as a beloved brother whose sudden passing left a deep void in the lives of many.

In a Father’s Day message, Dr. Anyaso reflected on the close bond they shared, recalling their numerous conversations on life, faith, purpose, and personal growth.

According to him, Alexx was more than a friend, noting that he related with him as a younger brother who consistently showed love, respect, and affection.

Dr. Anyaso revealed that weeks before the actor’s passing, he had reached out to one of Alexx’s close associates to inquire about his wellbeing and was reassured that he was doing fine. He, however, expressed regret that he never followed through with a personal call he had intended to make.

“Sadly, I never made that call. It is a regret I will carry for a long time. Yet, in all things, we submit to the sovereignty of God, whose ways are higher than ours,” he stated.

Despite the late actor not having biological children, Dr. Anyaso said he chose to honour his memory on Father’s Day because fatherhood extends beyond biological ties and is also reflected in the positive impact one makes in the lives of others.

He described Alexx as a father figure in many ways, citing his generosity, selflessness, and remarkable ability to bring joy and comfort to people around him.

“Alex had a rare gift of making people smile. He was generous with his time, kind-hearted, and always willing to support others. He touched countless lives and left behind beautiful memories that will endure,” he said.

Dr. Anyaso further expressed comfort in the belief that the late actor loved God and is now resting peacefully in His presence.

While mourning his loss, he urged those who knew Alexx to cherish the values he embodied and the memories he left behind.

He concluded the tribute by thanking the late actor for his friendship, laughter, respect, and love, adding that though he may be gone from sight, he will forever remain in the hearts of those who loved him.
