The incident occurred near Finnbars Road, close to the Abia State High Court, when the trailer reportedly lost compression while climbing a hill and rolled backwards uncontrollably before ramming into the hospital’s fence.

Speaking after the accident, the driver said the crash happened at about 2:00 a.m. He explained that the vehicle suddenly lost power while ascending the slope, making it impossible to maintain control.

The impact left the trailer partially blocking the federal highway, resulting in heavy traffic congestion during the morning rush hour as motorists struggled to navigate the affected section of the road.

As of the time of filing this report, there was no official confirmation of any casualties. Authorities and emergency responders were reportedly making efforts to evacuate the trailer and restore the free flow of traffic.

Motorists have been advised to exercise caution and consider alternative routes until the obstruction is completely cleared.
