In his statewide address titled “Abia at 34: A Continuing Journey in Faith and Discovery”, Governor Otti congratulated the people of Abia for their unity, resilience, and determination, describing them as “God’s own people in God’s own State.” He paid glowing tributes to the founding fathers for their foresight and courage, while urging citizens to recommit to the values of hard work, excellence, and collective responsibility.

Governor Otti highlighted Abia’s unique identity as a land blessed with natural resources, rich culture, and a resilient population, stressing that despite challenges, the state has consistently recorded significant accomplishments in different fields of human endeavor.

“Our greatest treasure is in the mind and intellect of our people. This land has always been a place that rewards hard work, resilience, and creativity. At 34, we have come far, but we must also ask ourselves how we can rise to the demands of true greatness,” Otti said.

The Governor pointed to reforms in infrastructure, education, healthcare, security, and waste management, noting that Abia is already experiencing unprecedented transformation.

Road Infrastructure: Otti revealed that road construction and rehabilitation are opening up new communities and driving business growth. “Our benchmark now is not just the kilometers of roads built but the economic and social impact they deliver.”
