Abiriba-born political leader Chief Dr. David Ogba Onuoha Bourdex stirs hope with a bold call for equity, justice, and people-driven change across Abia North and Nigeria

Chief Dr. David Ogba Onuoha Bourdex MFR, OON, popularly known as Ugoena Abiriba, has sent a resounding political message that is already sparking conversations across Abia State and beyond.

In his latest declaration titled “It Is Possible”, the Abia North political figure challenged long-standing narratives that true change cannot happen in the region. He insisted that the era of recycled leadership, crumbs of development, and politics of godfatherism must give way to equity, justice, and people-driven governance.

Bourdex, who has remained one of the most consistent political voices in Abia North, painted a vivid picture of a new dawn where every community—Ohafia, Bende, Arochukwu, Isuikwuato, and Umunneochi—can enjoy fair representation, infrastructural development, and accountable leadership.

He declared:

“It is possible for a land tired of crumbs to demand the feast. It is possible for justice to sit at the table, not outside in the corridor. It is possible for the people’s voice to thunder louder than the whispers of godfathers.”

The Abiriba-born leader further stressed that the ballot remains the strongest weapon for change, urging Abia North electorates to rise above fear, intimidation, and manipulation.

According to him, the ongoing political awakening across the state shows that the “last chapter” of Abia politics has not yet been written. He encouraged both youths and elders to stand firm, hold on to truth, and refuse to be silenced by political intimidation.

Bourdex’s message is already being interpreted as both a call to action and a direct challenge to the status quo. His emphasis on “clean hands, open hearts, and fearless leadership” reflects his belief that a new political order, built on accountability and service, is within reach.

“They doubted us, they mocked us, they fought us. But we endured, we built, we overcame. And we proved to them all—that a new Abia North is possible,” he concluded.

With Abia politics entering a decisive period ahead of 2027, Bourdex’s rallying cry has set the tone for deeper political engagement and has placed him once again at the center of conversations about leadership renewal in the region.
