Davido Predicts Arsenal Vs PSG Champions League Final, Equals Fela’s Record
Nigerian Afrobeats star Davido has tipped Arsenal to beat Paris Saint-Germain in the UEFA Champions League final on May 30 in Budapest.
Abia Radio News reports that Arsenal reached the final after defeating Atletico Madrid 2-1 on aggregate, while PSG overcame Bayern Munich 6-5 over two legs. Reacting on his 𝕏 account, Davido wrote: “I want them to win. Arsenal.”
The endorsement comes as the London side chase a historic European triumph after a strong season that has lifted expectations among supporters.
In a separate milestone, Davido has been named among the 2026 inductees into the Black Music and Entertainment Walk of Fame in Atlanta. The recognition makes him only the second Nigerian act to receive the honour after Afrobeat pioneer Fela Kuti.
Organisers said the ceremony will take place on June 1 in Atlanta’s Historic Westside. The initiative was created by the Black American Music Association and the Georgia Entertainment Caucus to celebrate figures who have shaped Black music and entertainment.
Davido joins a class that includes rapper Ludacris, gospel icon Paul S. Morton and former Atlanta mayor Maynard Jackson. Past honourees include Beyoncé, Usher, Stevie Wonder and Mary J. Blige.
Since its launch in 2021, the Walk of Fame has installed plaques along the Atlanta walkway to honour global cultural influence.
