Former Abia Deputy Governor Ude Oko Chukwu Breaks Silence, Sets Records Straight with List of Empowered Beneficiaries | LIST ATTACHED

Former Abia Deputy Governor Rt. Hon. Ude Oko Chukwu has broken his silence on allegations of neglect, releasing a list of beneficiaries of jobs, empowerment, and scholarships facilitated during his tenure. He says his record speaks louder than blackmail. Read the full story for details.

Former Deputy Governor of Abia State, Rt. Hon. Sir Ude Oko Chukwu, PhD, has strongly dismissed allegations that he did not empower or assist anyone during his time in office, describing such claims as blackmail engineered by political opponents and their agents.

In a detailed response made available to journalists, Oko Chukwu stated that although he has always lived by the biblical injunction of Matthew 6:3 — which encourages charitable deeds to remain private — he was compelled to release just a fraction of his empowerment records to counter what he described as “spurious agenda of malicious political neophytes.”

According to him, his silence had been taken advantage of by detractors who falsely painted him as a leader who never touched lives, hence the need to set the records straight.

“I have always believed that service should be to God and humanity, not a popularity contest. However, to soothe the curiosity of sincere and unsuspecting minds, I am constrained to make public a few of my interventions while in office. This list is by no means exhaustive because many records cannot be remembered immediately, while several acts of magnanimity remain too personal to be brought to public consumption,” Oko Chukwu stated.

The former deputy governor revealed that during his tenure, he facilitated employment opportunities, educational support, and direct empowerment schemes for Abians across communities. Some of the beneficiaries he mentioned include:

Young graduates who secured jobs in the civil service through his recommendation.

Abians placed in federal parastatals and agencies with his backing.

Women and youths empowered with start-up funds and business support.

Students who benefited from scholarships and educational sponsorships.

Farmers who received agricultural tools and support through his intervention.

Oko Chukwu emphasized that these examples were only a “tip of the iceberg” compared to the numerous interventions carried out quietly during his years in government.

He also reaffirmed that all glory belongs to God, stressing:

“Whatever I was able to do was by the grace of Almighty God. I take no credit for myself; to Him alone be all the glory.” READ FULL STATEMENT BELOW;

SOME EFFORTS OF HE, RT. HON. SIR UDE OKO CHUUKWU, PHD:

It’s just so unfortunate and even regrettable that because of some spurious agenda by some characters who deploys blackmail as their own political strategy to the extent that even some unsuspecting persons and acquaintances who though not in doubt has pushed and pressed it upon the Fmr D.Gov – HE, Rt. Hon. Sir Ude Oko Chuukwu, PhD, to temporarily relax his personal modus and compliance/obedience to Mathew 6:3, to allow the publication of just a few of his efforts while in government. His acquiescence to that push is specifically in harken to bulk of the informed persons who because they know better and rightly, and sees the clear motives of malicious neophyte-politicking and clear subterfuge by blackmailers, political opponents and their various agents, whence demand he allows this. Obviously, if not for anything else, it will help to soothe the curiosity and concerns of the innocent, sincere and unsuspecting minds and well-wishers.

Meanwhile, it must clearly be noted that this list can never be exhaustive no matter what because many records can’t immediately be remembered; as well many (numerous efforts, and magnanimity) can never be brought to public consumption because they are just too personal to be mentioned publicly, no matter the temptation and push. Let it also be stated that who ever finds his/her name reflect here should know that it was only necessitated by the need to “help to soothe the curiosity and concerns of the sincere and unsuspecting minds”, not really for any popularity goal.

Very importantly too, the Fmr D.Gov gives God all the glory for every single act of service or magnanimity He has enabled through him, and he relinquished all the glory to God with no intention to appropriate any to self;  after all, it’s not by might but by the grace of the Almighty God.

Let’s go!
