I Was Bashed For It – Tiwa Savage Opens Up Leaked Private Video

Nigerian singer Tiwa Savage has shared the emotional struggles she faced after a private video of hers was leaked online.

Abia Radio News reports that she revealed this in American radio show Hot 97.

According to the mother of one, the backlash was harsh and deeply hurtful, coming from both fans and people with big platforms.

“I was bashed for it… people with platforms were horrible. They blamed me,” she said, describing how unfairly she was treated despite being the victim.

She explained that some even suggested she leaked the video to stay relevant, which she strongly denied.

The singer talked about how exhausting the experience was, saying, “I don’t want to feel it. That’s exhausting… that’s why I switch off sometimes. I have my little shots of tequila and I’m listening to my music.”

She also recalled not paying to stop the release of the video, noting, “You can’t blackmail me. I did it. And they still did it. And I was bashed for it… you’re the victim in it.”
