I’m Not Leaving APC – Uche Nwosu Dismisses Defection Rumour

A former governorship candidate of the Action Alliance (AA) in Imo State, Uche Nwosu, has dismissed rumours circulating on social media suggesting his defection to the African Democratic Congress (ADC), reaffirming his loyalty to the All Progressives Congress (APC).

Nwosu made the clarification on Sunday during the ongoing APC e-registration exercise in his hometown, Eziama Obaire, located in Nkwerre Local Government Area of the state.

Speaking at the event, Nwosu described himself as a founding member of the APC and dismissed any suggestion of an impending switch to another political party.

“I remain a committed member of the All Progressives Congress. I will not abandon a house I helped to build. I have no plan to defect to the African Democratic Congress,” he declared.

He also emphasised that his political allies, including former Imo State Governor, Owelle Rochas Okorocha, and other members of the Rescue Mission team, remained firmly within the APC fold.

Nwosu used the opportunity to urge party supporters and residents of the state to register en masse with the APC, stressing the importance of political engagement from the grassroots to the national level.

“Political participation is key. Our people must stay engaged and take part in shaping their political future,” he said.
