The United States Mission Nigeria has reaffirmed its strong partnership with Nigeria, highlighting sustained cooperation across security, trade, health, education, and cultural exchange.
In a statement shared on its X handle on Monday, the mission said both countries continue to maintain enduring ties that promote mutual prosperity and development.
“The United States and Nigeria share deep ties in security, trade, health, education, and culture, and these people-to-people connections remain strong and vital to our shared prosperity,” the mission said.
The statement emphasised the importance of continued collaboration in tackling regional and global challenges, particularly in areas such as security cooperation and economic growth.
It added that the relationship goes beyond government-level engagement, reflecting strong connections among citizens, institutions, and private sector actors in both countries.
According to the mission, these partnerships are helping to strengthen stability, expand economic opportunities, and improve social outcomes in both nations.
The reaffirmation comes as both countries continue to engage on key issues, including counterterrorism efforts, trade facilitation, educational exchange programmes, and public health initiatives.
