A member of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) and the Obidient Movement, Dickson Iroegbu, has asserted that former presidential candidates, Peter Obi and Rabiu Kwankwaso, can make a major statement in the 2027 general elections if they form an alliance.

Abia Radio News reports that Iroegbu said this on Friday in an interview on Arise Television’s ‘Prime Time’.

According to Iroegbu, with Peter Obi as president and Kwankwaso as Vice President, the Presidential Villa will definitely lose sleep.

He said, “From the experience Kwankwaso has gotten now, if he has realized that he can form an alliance with Peter Obi, then the two of them can make a major statement in 2027.

“The candidacy of Peter Obi as President and Kwankwaso as Vice will definitely make the Presidential Villa lose sleep.”

Meanwhile, a public affairs analyst, Jide Ojo, has suggested that Peter Obi may dump the African Democratic Congress (ADC) ahead of the 2027 elections if he fails to win the party’s presidential ticket.

Ojo, who spoke on Wednesday during an interview on Channels Television’s The Morning Brief, projected that Obi may lose the ADC presidential ticket to former Vice President Atiku Abubakar, particularly if the party opts for indirect primaries.

Should Obi lose the ADC ticket to Atiku, Ojo predicted that the former Anambra State Governor may dump the party for another platform to actualize his presidential ambition.
