‘They Need To Castrate Rapists And Burn Them’ – Simi

Nigerian Afrobeats singer, Simisola Kosoko, popularly known as Simi, has called for capital punishment for rapists.

Abia Radio News reports that Simi made the appeal amid multiple rape allegations being reported in different parts of the country in recent weeks.

In a post via her social media page, Simi stated that citizens and the authorities should put an end to sexual assault against women and perpetrators should be castrated and burnt alive.

Simi explained that she was advocating for rape victims because almost all the women she knew have been sexually assaulted at some points of their lives.

She argued that it is not right to stop people from speaking against sexual assault because of false rape accusers.

Simi also decried that many women are not safe and urged men to hold their fellow men accountable, adding that men are creating the enabling environment for rapists due to their failure to hold others accountable.

She wrote, “I’m sickkk of this. STOP RAPING WOMEN. They need to castrate rapists and burn them.

“Almost every woman I know personally has been sexually assaulted at some point in their lives. You can’t think it’s okay to shut people up from speaking up about assault because some people lie. If you lie, you should face consequences, but that’s not the conversation I’m having. Nor is it one I’m interested in having..
