Tinubu’s Govt Lack Sensitivity, Goodluck Jonathan Didn’t Abandon The Country For Holidays’ – ADC

The African Democratic Congress (ADC) has faulted President Bola Tinubu’s frequent holidays, stating that the government lacks sensitivity.

Abia Radio News reports that the National Publicity Secretary of the ADC, Bolaji Abdullahi, said this on Tuesday during an interview on ‘Politics Today’, a programme on Channels Television.

While comparing Tinubu with former President, Goodluck Jonathan, Abdullahi said the latter did not abandon the country when faced with challenges.

The ADC spokesman emphasised that the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) is not going in the right direction.

Abdullahi also spoke about the hardships the poor are facing across the country, but the government continues to deny the reality.

He said, “The kind of hardship Nigerians are faced with Today is unprecedented but more importantly is the denial of the reality of the majority of the people.

“Every single record has said Nigeria is not going in the right direction. And they keep telling us that the economy is doing very well.

“They keep saying don’t worry, even if you are hungry, just a little more, something will happen. And this is the third year into this administration.

“Year three and they are still campaigning and making promises as if they are not the one in power for the last three years.

“But more importantly is the lack of sensitivity. It is mind-bending. The lack of care about what the people are going through.

“This president keeps traveling out of the country at will, especially when there is crisis. Former President Goodluck Jonathan didn’t abandon the country when faced with challenges. He didn’t run away. He didn’t go on holidays while things terrible things were happening in the country.”
