Otti Fixes May For Smart Schools Rollout As US Cleric Foresees Abia’s Rise
Abia State Governor, Dr Alex Otti has disclosed that his administration will, before the end of May, commission three newly constructed smart schools as part of efforts to strengthen the education sector.
Governor Otti made the disclosure during the National Thanksgiving Worship Service held at The Father’s House Church, Jahi – Abuja, when he honoured the invitation of organisers of the programme.
“Before the end of this month, we are commissioning three brand new smart schools we built”, he assured.
The Governor noted that his administration has consistently prioritised education and healthcare, allocating 35 per cent of the state’s annual budget to both sectors with 20 per cent to education and 15 per cent to healthcare.
He added that 5,394 teachers have already been recruited in the first phase, with plans underway to employ an additional 4,000 teachers.
Responding to prophetic declarations by American preacher, Cindy Jacobs, who described his leadership as divinely positioned to serve as a model for governance, Governor Otti stressed that his administration’s policy direction aligns with her declarations, particularly in the areas of education and infrastructure.

The governor urged Christians, especially those in leadership positions, to live by their professed values, noting that leadership is fundamentally about service.
He emphasised that while fasting and prayer are important, righteousness remains the foundation of national progress, warning that wrongdoing undermines the efficacy of prayers.
Earlier, Cindy Jacobs, an American independent charismatic prophetess, speaker, author and a co-founder of Generals International, said she foresaw significant infrastructural development across Abia State, particularly road networks linking rural communities to markets, as well as divine provision of funds to sustain such projects.

In her words; “God is going to begin to give you finance for infrastructure. I see literary supernatural finances that will enable farms to market produce to come.
“I see roads being built from the villages to the places where they need to sell their produce. I don’t know anything about where you are, but I just see God wants you to be a model”.
She further declared that Governor Otti would implement transformative policies that would make Abia one of the most educated states in the region.
“God wants you to be a prototype of what can be done in the region when God is exalted.
“And, the Lord also showed me that you’re going to be able to put some policies in place that are going to begin to literally cause your area, your State, to be known as one of the most educated States. And I see you building schools and getting that as a legacy for you, building schools and teachers education in particular.
“And so, God is going to help you, of course, raise those out of poverty, and education will take them out of poverty. And God is going to do this”, she said.
The interdenominational service, organised to offer prayers for Nigeria, focused on seeking an end to killings and insecurity, as well as divine healing for the nation.
Among those in attendance were former Minister of Education, Oby Ezekwesili, and her husband, Pastor Chinedu Ezekwesili, who described Governor Otti as a shining light in Nigeria’s governance landscape.
